Growing up in the picturesque English countryside inspired in her a lifetime love of nature's beauty and the desire to portray it in watercolors.  At Age 12, and for three more years, she was a student at the Ipswich Borough Council Gallery.  Married at 20, to an American serviceman, she left her English home, moving to Massachusetts to become an American wife and later, mother of two.  As her children grew, she put aside her art to take care of her children and home.  When she was able to continue her art study, in
between working and taking care of her home and family, she continued to study art and won many awards in art contests.  In 1988 she and her husband moved to the Crystal Coast, where as an avid gardener, she kept alive her love of nature and flowers.  Verena and her husband, Dick, share their home with 2 pet cats.  Callie and Boo Boo.
